Joel Bergstein is President of Lincoln Equities Group (LEG) and has been with the organization for the past 27 years. He joined LEG as VP of leasing. Bergstein rose through the ranks of LEG to become Executive VP in 1998, spearheading the company’s acquisition and development initiatives. He led the company into its current operating partner platform, partnering with domestic and international opportunity, private equity and pension funds. In 2007, he assumed the role of President. Most recently, he was instrumental in the firm’s expansion into the German residential real estate market and is spearheading the $1.5 billion Hallets Point waterfront development project in NYC. Joel serves on numerous real estate advisory boards and is a speaker and frequent commentator in the real estate trade and business media.
David Weinstein is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of LEG. He has 18 years’ experience in financial management, investment analysis, valuation, acquisition and financing of real estate investments. In his tenure with LEG, Weinstein has been involved in over $1.5 billion of office, industrial and residential property acquisitions and over $800 million of debt financing. Weinstein is a key member of LEG’s management team and is involved in all major financial, property management, construction management and leasing decisions. He also heads up the Berlin residential investment program, overseeing acquisitions, operations and dispositions of the 5,300 unit portfolio. Weinstein holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Yeshiva University and is a board certified CPA.

AIA, Senior Director of Development
Robert Schenkel joined LEG in 2003 to manage the company’s real estate development projects. A registered architect with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan, Schenkel has 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, including development, general contracting, architectural design, design-build and facilities management. Prior to joining Lincoln Equities Group, Schenkel held senior positions with Kajima Corporation, Sheldon H. Solow and American Express.

Mark Lipner heads up the acquisitions department for LEG. He has over 18 years of industry experience practicing in the real estate group of Deloitte and Touche LLP as well as working for prominent New York City real estate owners. During his time with LEG, he has been involved in over $250 million in real estate acquisitions. Lipner graduated from the Sy Syms School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a board certified CPA.
CPA, Director of European Acquisitions & Management
Greg Eliason joined LEG in 2009 as an Asset Manager for LEG’s $400 million real estate portfolio in Berlin, Germany. He is responsible for the asset management of the current portfolio and the acquisition analysis for acquisitions throughout Europe. Eliason began his career at KPMG consulting for clients including Credit Suisse Private Equity Funds and Citibank Private Bank. Eliason graduated from the Sy Syms School of Business with a dual major in accounting and finance. He is a board certified CPA.
Kenneth Flynn, Jr.
Senior Director of Leasing
Ken Flynn joined LEG as Senior Director of Leasing in March 2013. Flynn has over 20 years of real estate experience, completing over 500 transactions representing over 8 million square feet of space for leading companies in the New Jersey region. Flynn holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Columbia University and is a member of NAIOP and CORENET.

Sol Berger joined LMC in 1998 as controller after three years at Deloitte and Touche. He was promoted to his current position in 2002. Berger oversees 4 million square feet of office, retail and industrial real estate. He plays a key role in acting as corporate liaison with LMC’s institutional partners. Berger is a graduate of Yeshiva University and is a board certified CPA.
Director of Construction
Stephen Rabinowitz has over 18 years of experience in residential, retail, industrial and office construction. Rabinowitz joined the firm in 1999 as a Project Manager and in 2000 was promoted to Director of Construction. He is directly responsible for performing tenant and capital projects with a total value of well over $80 million. Rabinowitz has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from New York University.
Barry Mezei has been the Corporate Controller for LEG since 2002. His career spans 18 years, with controllership experience in public and family-owned companies ranging in size to $200 million. His expertise includes budgeting and forecasting, cash management, GAAP compliance, financial analysis and reporting, auditing and due diligence. Mezei holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Touro College and is a board certified CPA.
